NCIDR
Transitions to Volunteer Status
NC Interfaith Disaster Response has transitioned back to an all-volunteer
organization, as of June 1, 2004. We no longer have an office
location or employed staff. The Board of Directors and our many
volunteers continue to serve as NCIDR responders, working closely
with our General Delegates of the NC faith community and with
Local Interfaith leaders at scheduled Quarterly Meetings. (See
meeting details on our Calendar website page).
To contact us now, please go to our NCIDR website MENU to “Contact
Us”. Here you can send us an email for NCIDR information
or update your own contact information for us or join our email
group to receive ongoing NCIDR information.
Send any contributions to our new mailing address (of our Board
Treasurer):

On September 16, 1999, rainfall from Hurricane Floyd swelled North
Carolina's rivers, flooding tens of thousands of homes, businesses,
and communities across the eastern third of the state; taking 52
lives; and causing an estimated $6 billion in damages. Faces from
the Flood is a compelling look back at the state's most destructive
natural disaster, conveyed through the words of those who endured
it. Click here
to learn more, or to purchase the book.
Faces From the Flood, is available through UNC-TV for a cost of
$25.00, shipping and handling included. Please send a check or money
order written out to UNC-TV to the address below. Be sure to include
the title of the program, airdate (if possible) and what your intention
for its use is (educational use, home use, etc.)
